    Hi Emma,

Thanks for the positive feedback 🙂 Just signed up to the Network – my blog progress has slowed a bit recently, PhD deadlines have been taking over – at the moment I’m writing my methods chapter before leaving for fieldwork next month.

Interesting – I’ve just been reading that you have just started to work for RIDE – my latest blog has been about the debates of homeworking. Something that I’m sure will be quite close to home for you.

I too am off India in a couple of months too – I’m heading to Bangalore.

    Warm Regards,

    Hi Emma,

You may be interested in Talenthouse’s latest ethical fashion competition, thought I would let you know they are currently looking for aspiring fashion designers to design a dress for Leona Lewis, true to her compassion and support for animals, Leona requested that all designs be ethically friendly. She will wear the design at a major upcoming event. As well as designing the dress the winner will receive:

    – Global exposure by having their design promoted across Leona’s official website and social media channels
    – A professional photograph of Leona wearing the outfit for their portfolio
    – $1500

Two runners-up (as selected by Leona) will have their designs featured across Leona’s official website and social media channels.
This would be a great way to boost your fashion portfolio. For more information follow the link:

Any questions don’t hesitate to email me at

    Good luck 🙂
